Ahmad Fahmi bin Mohamed Fadzil

Ahmad Fahmi bin Mohamed Fadzil, born on 4 February 1981 in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, is a Malaysian politician, former actor and writer. He holds a Bachelor's degree in chemical engineering from Purdue University. Prior to joining politics, he was known for his work in TV series like Gol & Gincu and hosting The Fairly Current Show, and was involved in social activism. He officially joined the People's Justice Party (PKR) in 2010. He served as secretary to Nurul Izzah Anwar before being chosen to succeed her as the Member of Parliament for Lembah Pantai in May 2018, a seat he successfully defended in the 15th General Election with a significant majority. He was appointed Minister of Communications and Digital in December 2022 under the Anwar Ibrahim unity government, a position he held until a cabinet reshuffle in December 2023, when he became the Minister of Communications. He has also served as PKR Communications Director from September 2013 to July 2022 and PKR Information Chief since July 2022.
