Anwar bin Ibrahim

Anwar bin Ibrahim is the 10th Prime Minister of Malaysia since 2022 and President of the People's Justice Party (PKR) since 2018. He served as Deputy Prime Minister (1993-1998) and Finance Minister (1991-1998) before being removed from all posts in 1998, leading the Reformasi movement. He was twice imprisoned on charges that were later overturned. Anwar led the opposition as Leader of the Opposition from 2008-2015 and 2020-2022. After receiving a royal pardon in 2018, he became Prime Minister after the 2022 general election, heading a unity government. He is also the Minister of Finance and Member of Parliament for Tambun.
