He previously served as the Member of the Kedah State Legislative Assembly for Lunas from 2013 to 2023 and held positions in the Kedah State Executive Council (EXCO). He is a member of the Malaysian United Indigenous Party (BERSATU), a component party of the Perikatan Nasional (PN) coalition.
