Ismail Sabri bin Yaakob is a Malaysian politician and lawyer who served as the 9th Prime Minister of Malaysia from August 2021 to November 2022. He is a member and Vice President of the United Malays National Organisation (UMNO), a component party of the Barisan Nasional (BN) coalition. He has been the Member of Parliament (MP) for Bera since March 2004 and has held various ministerial positions, including Minister of Defence, Minister of Agriculture and Agro-Based Industry, Minister of Domestic Trade, Co-operatives and Consumerism, and Minister of Youth and Sports.
