Mohd Shahar bin Abdullah is a Malaysian politician who has served as the Member of Parliament (MP) for Paya Besar since May 2018. He held the positions of Deputy Minister of Finance II from March 2020 to August 2021 and Deputy Minister of Finance I from August 2021 to November 2022. As of March 2024, he serves as the Chairman of the Government Backbenchers Club. He is a member of the United Malays National Organisation (UMNO), a component party of the Barisan Nasional (BN) coalition.
