Saravanan s/o Murugan
Saravanan s/o Murugan, also known as M. Saravanan, was born on 4 February 1968 in Pekeliling Flats, Sentul. He is a Malaysian politician and the Deputy President of the Malaysian Indian Congress (MIC). He has served as the Member of Parliament (MP) for Tapah since March 2008. His ministerial roles include Minister of Human Resources (March 2020 - August 2021 and August 2021 - November 2022), Deputy Minister of Youth and Sports (May 2013 - May 2018), Deputy Minister of Federal Territories and Urban Wellbeing (April 2009 - May 2013), and Deputy Minister of Federal Territories (March 2008 - April 2009). He was a Senator before being elected to the Dewan Rakyat in 2008. Saravanan began his political career in 1994 as a secretary in MIC for the district of Titiwangsa. Academically, he holds a bachelor's degree in business administration from Hammersmith & West London College and completed his Master of Business Administration (MBA) from the University of the West of Scotland in 2022.
