Lim Guan Eng is a Malaysian politician and accountant who has served as the Member of Parliament for Bagan since March 2008. He is a member of the Democratic Action Party (DAP), a component party of the Pakatan Harapan (PH) coalition. He served as the Minister of Finance from 2018 to 2020 and as the Chief Minister of Penang from 2008 to 2018. He was the Secretary-General of DAP from 2004 to 2022 and is currently the party's second advisor. He is the son of veteran politician Lim Kit Siang.
